We at the Huron Valley Sportfishing Club have preferred to keep our newsletter to mostly content, with some advertisements sold and displayed within the newsletter to support the cost of printing and sending the newsletter to club members and friends.  However, in these trying times, it has become necessary to cut costs, and one way that is easily done is to have any club member who has a computer and has access to the internet, to sign up to receive the monthly newsletter via an e-mail link.  The following is what you must have to receive the newsletter by e-mail.

1) Dial up or high speed internet access

2) Have a PDF viewer program to be able to read the newsletter, preferably one called Adobe Reader 9.0. It is a free program and can be downloaded from the following link http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/.

3) Last but most important, provide the club your e-mail address.  This e-mail address will never be sold or provided to anyone outside our club whose goal is solicitation of product or services.

 A) There are two ways to get that to us, send an e-mail to hvsteelheaders AT yahoo.com (replace AT with @) with the subject title: Signup for Club Newsletter.

B) The second way will be the newsletter signup sheets at the membership table at all membership meetings.

With this change to e-mail availability for our club newsletter, we have increased the number of pages from 12 to 16 beginning Jan 1st, 2009. This provides our harried Editor more room for articles, which has been a recurring problem.

Those wishing to advertise, just click this link "Ad rates", and you will be directed to our rate sheet and other advertising opportunities throughout our organization in the great state of Michigan.

We encourage all members to submit articles of interest, tournament results & stories of fishing trips. You can forward these to Dave Varitek at dvaritek AT ili.net (replace AT with @), preferably one week before the end of the month for your article to be published in the next months Newsletter. We reserve the right to reject an article for in-appropriate content.

This Newsletter is the official publication of Huron Valley Steelheaders. All articles may be reproduced if credit is given to Huron Valley Steelheaders and the author. Articles from other publications must also be given proper credit.
