Jim Territo Charity Detroit River Walleye Tournament April 12th, 2008 A good friend, former president of our club, active member, and all around good guy was lost too early in life in 2007 doing what he loved to do, fishing! Jim was also very active with coaching kids and other activities throughout his life and affected many people in a positive way that certain people have a knack of doing without ever thinking about it. The large number of people who paid their respects as everyone said goodbye was a fitting tribute to our friend. Jim loved to fish for walleye and donate his time to charity, so now we are going to try and add to that tribute. Our club, along with our good friends the Down River Walleye Federation, will be hosting the JimTerrito Charity Detroit River Walleye Tournament April 12th , 2008 at Elizabeth Park in Trenton MI. This will be a one day, biggest walleye tournament open to any who wish to participate. This is a fun tournament set up so that everyone has a chance and with safety in mind, we will keep this a simple as possible so take a look at the rules and entry form below.
Entry fee is $20 per person, and as mentioned in the rules and entry form, all entries must be in by 8pm, April 9th, 2008 As this is a charity tournament, the entry fee's will be distributed as what follows 50% to the chosen charity 40% to prize money 10% to cover tournament expenses with any left over being put back into the charity It is also our intention to solicit donations from local businesses to be used for door prize drawings for those who do not place in the prize money. If you have any questions, feel free to call Billi Jo Cruz in the afternoon or evening at 734-552-8190. Hope to see you there! The Huron Valley Sportfishing Club |
